5th Grade Prompt:
The Willoughby children's parents traveled all over the world and found themselves in many dangerous situations. What do you think is one of the most perilous places on Earth? Pretend that you have just had an adventure at your chosen perilous place and write a letter to the Willoughby children explaining what happened. You may include any information you would like, but you MUST say where you are, describe at least two treacherous situations you experienced, and how you escaped them. Remember that since you are writing a letter, you must include a greeting, body, closing, and signature.
6th Grade Prompt:
In Eleven, Sam discovered a newspaper clipping and could only read enough of it to know the article was about him. Your assignment is to create the article you believe Sam discovered. Remember you are writing a newspaper article; therefore it must have a headline. You may include a picture in your article. However, it must not take up more than 1/4 of a page.
